Video Sessions -- Hitchens shocked, surprised by MVP honor
Marc Morehouse

LB James Morris seemed to have fun on the award circuit.
No.
It's probably time to appreciate the fine career Brett Van Sloten had at Iowa. He went from Iowa being the only school to offer to a two-year starter to second-team all-Big Ten. He'll probably have a shot at the NFL.
Forgot to snap a picture of the Herky on Parade with a Santa hat on. You can imagine what it might look like.
Senior LB Anthony Hitchens talking about his MVP honor here. A genuine response.
Iowa tackle Brandon Scherff talks about his decision to stay at Iowa and pass on the NFL draft.
RB Mark Weisman is happy that Scherff will be around for his senior season next year. Weisman can't go half speed. That ugly bruise on his shoulder post Michigan State? That was a problem with his pectoral muscle. He said he bruises easily.
Hitchens was surprised, proud and happy that he won the team's defensive MVP.
Kirksey voted for Anthony Hitchens for defensive MVP. Also, Kirksey compares LSU to a really good Big Ten team.
Morris hopes the fact that Hitchens won the team defensive MVP sheds some light on the player he is and the season he had.
Van Sloten is spending his Christmas break, just before finals, pushing a prowler around and working up a sweat. It's a lot better than what he was doing last season at this time.
