Kash will listen and be responsive

I'm supporting Robin Kash for District 3 City Council. Kash has the attributes to be a responsive and successful council member. In the past, I supported incumbent Pat Shey. However, Shey's been unresponsive to his constituents and doesn't deserve re-election.
In 2010, before the city's vote to close Second Avenue, I emailed all City Council members who had not publicly announced their position on the PCI project. I informed these council members that I fully supported the original version of the PCI project, which didn't close Second Avenue, but oppose any closure of Second Avenue. The only council member who failed to respond to my concerns was my own council representative, Shey.
Like the majority of people on the SE side of Cedar Rapids, I wish Shey would have listened to those in his district who urged him to vote against closure of Second Avenue. I don't expect my representatives to agree with me on all issues, but I do expect them to at least acknowledge receipt of my communication.
I can't imagine closure of another major road will come up, but if it does, I want Kash in office to listen and be responsive to the district.
