Frances E. (Parbs) Wingfield, 85, passed away
at Cottage Grove Place on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
A visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until service time at 2:30 p.m. Friday,
June 18, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A livestream of
the service may be accessed on the funeral home website under the obituary for Frances Wingfield, under the video tab starting at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 18. Interment will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Garden of the Last Supper.
Frances was born on Feb. 17, 1936, in Center Point, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late Leland and Ethel (Carman) Parbs. On Oct. 10, 1954, Frances married the love of her life, Keith G. Wingfield at Prairie Chapel. Keith preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 2021. Frances was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, bowling and golf.
Those left to cherish Frances' memory is her daughter, Kathleen Cassidy of Columbia, Mo.; three grandchildren, Holly Fields of Chicago, Zachary Rump of St. Louis, Mo., and Olivia Shocks of Gardner, Kan.; three great-grandchildren, Elijah, August and Autumn; and siblings, Everette of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Gwen of Shellsburg, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Doris, Ivan, Iva and Donald.
A memorial fund has been established.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Cottage Grove Place for all the love, care and support they showed Frances while she was in their care.
