Rebec, Jack Eugene
Jack Eugene Rebec, 78, of Cedar Bluff, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Jan. 31, 2010 at his home due to complications from Inclusion Body Myositis. There will be no services. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Cedar Bluff.
Survivors include his wife, Kay; brother, Tom (Alice) Rebec of Sebring, Fla.; also four nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.
He was born on Dec. 14, 1931 in Cedar Rapids to Rufus and Helen (Zivney) Rebec. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1950 and enlisted in the Air Force, and was stationed in London, England. He married Kay Faas on Sept. 1, 1956 in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1958. He was employed by Trans World Airlines in Denver, Colo. for 16 years before moving to Cedar Bluff.
