Snively, Paxton
Paxton Snively, 7, of Ashland, Ohio, passed away Tuesday evening, Sept. 20, 2011, at his home in his parents' arms. As Paxton would have worded it, he just went “to live at the best place ever.”
Born July 21, 2004, in Ashland, Ohio, he was the son of Mark R. and Lisa M. (Reu) Snively. Paxton knew and loved his Savior, Jesus Christ. He found great comfort in hearing the word of God read to him, and loved to hear stories of the lives of missionaries. He attended Park Street Brethren Church.
Paxton was home-schooled and had a passion for art and creating. He enjoyed riding his bicycle, building with Legos, and collecting Ty Beanie Babies. His favorite Beanie Baby was Speedster, his turtle.
In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by three brothers, Camden and Kelsey of Ashland and Justin of Chicago; grandparents, Robert and Betty Snively of Lexington, Ohio, and Mary Reu of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; uncles, David Snively of Lexington, Michael (Kim) Snively of Perrysville, Ohio, Joe Reu of Walford, Iowa and Steve (Pam) Reu of Monticello, Iowa; an aunt, Janice (Jody) Strand of Toddville, Iowa; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Reu.
Friends and family may visit from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Ave., Ashland, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Todd Ruggles officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Jelloway, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Gospel for Asia, a ministry that was very special to Paxton's heart.
