Caucus for Hillary Clinton on Feb. 1

To the editor:
It was a tough choice for me. Democrats have three fine candidates. In the end, however, I have decided to caucus for Hillary Clinton. Bernie Sanders is a strong leader and his ideas are in line with mine. However, the word 'socialist” is a bad word for many.
Clinton has much needed experience, in the Cabinet and as Secretary of State. She knows the leaders of the world, the customs and ways of many cultures. And, she is a strong leader and knows what she stands for. She is willing to listen, to change her mind, and to be informed and strengthened by those with whom she works. And she has concern for the poor, the weak, the mentally and physically impaired.
She is concerned about education, fairness and compassion in the area of health care, care for children, and a desire to return strength to the middle class. She is ready and willing to fight the greed and selfishness that looms over much of our lives.
Finally, it would be great to see a woman in leadership of our country. As a woman she brings a different background and outlook, a higher sense of compassion, a little bit more 'softness,” balanced with her toughness, that would be a wonderful influence on her leadership.
Join me in caucusing for Clinton on Feb. 1.
