Higher minimum wage raises unemployment

Mark Twain told us that “it's easier to fool people than it is to convince them that they have been fooled.” I think he had Democrats in mind when he said that, but what I don't know is, if at the time, he was advising their candidates or warning the rest of us.

A perfect example is their “fight” to raise the minimum wage. The primary beneficiaries of such governmental regulation are the politicians who garner votes and followers from those fooled into thinking that it contributes to anything worthwhile.

Anyone who is misled into believing otherwise has been fooled and anything I can say in 250 words cannot convince them otherwise. Just maybe, however, it would help to take some advice from economists such as Milton Friedman, Walter Williams or Thomas Sowell.

Why not take a little time to check out these experts' opinions on YouTube and stop listening to the well-intentioned but misleading Pied Pipers? The surest results of increasing the minimum wage are increased unemployment, especially among teens and minorities, increased prices and increased poverty.
