Talking charity golf event

The Gazette's J.R. Ogden and Karl Cassell, executive director of the Cedar Rapids Civil Rights Commission, talk about a charity golf event for health care education and life-saving health screenings for uninsured and under-insured adults in the Linn country area.
The tournament is Thursday at the Hunters Ridge Golf Course in Marion.
The first-time event is sponsored by First Light Christian Fellowship, a faith-based Marion non-profit organization founded in 1996 to promote racial reconciliation, health awareness for the under-served and social justice.
Cost for the event is $45 per golfer in each foursome. Hole sponsorship is $300.
