Apr. 26, 2011 8:22 am
Residents escaped safely, but several cats and dogs apparently died, when a house caught fire southeast of Prairieburg last night.
The Linn County Sheriff's Office, which was among the responding agencies, said the house at 4706 Frozen Hill Rd. was engulfed when crews arrived around 6 p.m.
The house is occupied by Christina Parks, 51, who wasn't home at the time, and her children Christopher, 20, and Brianna, 13, who both got out safely.
The Sheriff's Office is investigating. No damage estimate was available.
