Benton, Robert Wayne
Robert Wayne Benton, 86, of Olathe, Kan., passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Olathe Medical Center.
Robert was born Sept. 6, 1926, in Victor, Iowa to Elbert and Esther Benton. He was educated in Iowa schools before going to work as an air traffic controller for 35 years. He served on Okinawa during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Benton, and was preceded in death by his three children.
Burial will be in Hartwick, Iowa.
