Fire hits abandoned home outside Swisher

SWISHER - A house caught fire Thursday morning southwest of Swisher.
The fire started around 4:45 a.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of Amana Road NW.
Reporters on the scene say the two-story house was abandoned.
The owner of the house gave the fire department permission to use the house as a training exercise. The Siwsher Fire Deptartment was planning on burning down the buliding sometime next week.
Therefore, when the house caught fire early Thursday morning, crews let the house burn to the ground.
Firefighters still aren't sure what caused the fire.
