Fired Iowa City manager finalist for Massachusetts job

IOWA CITY - Michael Lombardo, who was fired as city manager of Iowa City last year, is a finalist for a job in Massachusetts.
Lombardo is one of three finalists to become the first town manager of Hamilton, Mass., according to the Salem News. Interviews for the Hamilton job are Friday and Saturday, and the town board will discuss who to select on Monday.
Lombardo was fired by the City Council for undisclosed reasons last April after less than a year on the job. The council recently
started the search for his successor.
