In search of auto racing help

Yes, it's January. And, yes, there is snow on the ground and the temperature seems to be stuck in an ugly place.

What better time to start thinking about the auto racing season?

The Gazette continues to look for community contributors in a variety of sports, but today we'll reach out specifically to auto racing drivers and enthusiasts.

If you are a driver, head mechanic, member of a crew or just a fan in Eastern Iowa and want to write about your passion and the weekly experiences of being involved in the sport, let us know.

Ideally, we'd like to get a number of auto racing experts to provide us with weekly updates - from track reviews, to the cost of this “hobby” to how you prepare each week.

We will run these stories at www.TheGazette.com and in the paper. Help us improve our auto racing coverage from Eastern Iowa's tracks with your stories and photos.
