Area around City Carton in Iowa City reopened after gas leak

UPDATE: A gas leak at City Carton Recycling south of the intersection of Benton and Capitol streets in Iowa City briefly shut down access to the immediate area this morning.
Police Sgt. Denise Brotherton said the area is now safe after a broken gas pipe led police to divert people away from the area for about 35 minutes.
