Got to be better way to coordinate health care

If our hospitals and Physicians' Clinic of Iowa truly want to “coordinate medical care,” I'm sure they can do it without tearing up the city and disrupting lives. Instead of wasting our money to erect impressive buildings with larger and fancier waiting rooms, purchasing idiotic billboards and assaultive advertising, they could use the savings to revolutionize medical care as it now exists. Some things to truly put Cedar Rapids on the map:
l Medical appointments where you don't suspect the main goal is to keep within the 5-10-minute limit set by insurance company bean counters.
l A solid percentage of a patient's time is spent building a relationship with the doctor, as opposed to running from station to station to keep track of your medical and insurance information.
The changes foisted on us by industry leaders over past decades consistently meant exorbitant costs for less time with a doctor. These are the last people I want to listen to for medical advice.
