Linn sheriff investigates Palo vehicle break-ins

PALO - Authorities are investigating a string of vehicle break-ins in the Palo area.
At least nine vehicles were illegally entered Monday evening or Tuesday morning, according to the Linn County Sheriff's Office. Tools, CDs, electronic devices and small amounts of money were taken.
Col. John Stuelke said vehicles parked on streets or in driveways were entered between 10 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday. Some had windows smashed; others were left unlocked, he said. Stuelke said the value of the property taken was less than $100 in most cases.
