Might have to wait a sec on the Kirk Ferentz video. It's going to take some time to download.
Good stuff here. This is one-on-one matchups between the offensive and defensive lines. You guys be the judge who wins and who loses.
A minute or so with the kickers warming up. Later, coach Kirk Ferentz said he was "underwhelmed" with Iowa kickers Daniel Murray and Trent Mossbrucker this spring.
Iowa linebacker Jeff Tarpinian talks about being in and out of the lineup. He also discusses his spring class load, which includes high level accounting classes. He was moved from No. 2 OLB to No. 1 MLB about five or six practices into spring.
Left offensive tackle Riley Reiff talks about the progress of a very young O-line and the pressure the group feels going into 2010. The O-line clearly is the biggest questionmark on a team that will likely be ranked in the preseason top 10.
Senior defensive tackle Christian Ballard talks about going agianst Iowa's new O-line. He also touches on the defensive line, which is the heavyweight unit on the Iowa football team. The group doesn't plan to sit on its laurels.
This is kind of a blah interview with Iowa quarterback Ricky Stanzi until WR Derrell Johnson-Koulianos brings a $5 bill for the senior QB to sign. It was kids day and autographs were signed. DJK slipped in, "By the way, I'm always open."
I jumped in the autographs line with Iowa QB Ricky Stanzi, DT Karl Klug and WR Derrell Johnson-Koulianos. So, you want to be a rock-n-roll star?
THIS VIDEO ISN'T FINISHED DOWNLOADING. -- Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz gives a run down of spring practice, which ended with a two-hour scrimmage on Saturday afternoon. He talked O-line, which is getting a ton of attention, and a few other position battles. He talked incoming TE C.J. Fiedorowicz. He also called Iowa's kicking battle this spring "underwhelming." That's not good.
Iowa sports information director Phil Haddy said the crowd for Saturday's spring scrimmage at Kinnick Stadium was 23,500. That's the best Iowa has had in a few years, probably because there's no renovation or FieldTurf going in at Kinnick. (Marc Morehouse)
