Letter: Brad Hart is prepared to lead city

The selection of our next mayor is a significant and critical decision for our community. Our choice will determine how we build on the progress of the past eight years and successfully address the challenges of the future. Our mayor must have leadership skills, strategic vision, an understanding of resident's needs and a genuine investment in our community. Brad Hart has those qualities.

We have known and worked with Hart for more than 20 years. As leaders in the nonprofit sector and community volunteers, we have served with Hart in many different organizations and observed him in many different roles. He has been a chair and member of several board of directors and board of trustees, fundraiser for nonprofits and capital campaigns, and a volunteer for many community and business organizations. His service exemplifies his leadership and ability to get things done.

During the 2008 flood recovery, he worked as a volunteer and helped numerous organizations and affected businesses. His lifelong service and successful legal career are demonstrations of his work ethic, leadership, ambition and commitment to this community. These are the reasons we support Hart for mayor.
