What would Beck do with area churches?

As I perused the March 27 edition, I came across the religious section advertising a multitude of upcoming Easter services and became bewildered as to which church service I could attend - attend, that is, a “church according to Glenn Beck.”

According to Glenn, I should look for the code words “social justice” and “economic justice” within the framework, mission statement, preaching's, etc., of each church as those things embody the essence of Nazism and communism, and immediately “alert this to the church authorities” or “If you find it, run as fast as you can ... leave your church” (http://abcnews.go.com/WN/glenn-beck-social-justice-christians-rage-

Now I, as an inexperienced lowly layman, feel empowered, with Beck guarding my back, to broach misguided church ideology to any and all church leaders. I can take action three ways: confront the church leaders, “run” and find another church, or become an “informant” for Beckian propaganda defining which churches are “constitutionally American” and those that embrace Nazism or communism.

At a time when we should be celebrating the true meaning, rituals, traditions and culture of what transpired on the cross, Beck has once again started a new campaign of institutional ilk that pits churches against one another, furthering our nation's rift.

I hold no “political” judgment of churches; Beck does. My only resolve is to scrunch The Gazette's religious section together into a ball to symbolize one house that embraces all aspects of the Holy Scripture.
