Letter: Hogg is a leader, deserves vote

It will require new leadership in the U.S. Senate to see that Congress works better for our citizens and for our country's future. Rob Hogg will provide the leadership to work tirelessly toward this goal. Hogg believes that an effective Congress will benefit Iowans and all Americans in many ways.

On the economy, Hogg knows that effective government can help build a vibrant economy that works for all people. Higher wages will contribute to increased

spending, boosting our economy in turn.

Education is one of the areas for which Hogg has fought hard in the Iowa Legislature. Affordable college education and excellent schools are of utmost importance.

He sees the need for more math and science opportunities to prepare students for the future.

Hogg is well-known in Iowa for his advocacy of climate change. He calls this the challenge of our century. Hogg has outlined clean-water solutions that work for our economy, our health and our environment.

I have been proud to call Hogg my state senator and I will be proud to vote for him as Iowa's next U.S. Senator.
