Kernels organization is something to be proud of

My fiance and I are big Cedar Rapids Kernels fans and we drove to Clinton for the game on Thursday evening. It had rained heavily on Wednesday but the rain ended early in the morning and we assumed a professional baseball field would be ready for play several hours after the rain had stopped.
We were very disappointed when the game was called off because of unplayable field conditions. Meanwhile, the Iowa Conference game went on as scheduled Thursday at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
That our field was playable three hours after the rain ended is a tribute to the commitment to quality shared by the whole Kernels organization and especially to the hard work of Jesse Roeder and his ground crew. We should all be proud to have this first-class group of people working in our community.
