The Cedar Rapids Public Library's rebuilding efforts recently got a boost from two local schools.
Arthur Elementary School partnered with Mount Mercy College to sponsor a Reader Rebuild Penny War. Proceeds would benefit the library, which was damaged during the June 2008 flood.
The partnership raised $1,238.96 for the library. Students from Arthur and Mount Mercy will present a check to library staff Tuesday.
