Ross A. Stickels, 42, passed away at his home Wednesday, June 2, 2021, from natural causes. A memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, at Van Steenhuyse Funeral Home, Vinton, Iowa.
Ross was born Aug. 7, 1978, in Vinton, Iowa, the son of John and Sheila Baker Stickels. He attended school in Vinton. Ross was a roofer for Stanley Roofing LLC.
Ross was a sports "fanatic." He enjoyed grilling and cooking and spending time with his dog, Boots. But above all, Ross's pride and joy was his niece, Tristan and nephew, Hunter.
Ross is survived by his brother, Jody (McKenzie) Stickels and their children, Tristan and Hunter, all of Vinton; sister, Janet Tramill, Massachusetts; three aunts, Dixie Wayson of Vinton, Billie Jans of Traer and Pearl Stickels of Douds, Iowa.; numerous cousins; and his "best dog friend," Boots.
Ross was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
