Charging for cable bill by mail a bad move
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Dec. 14, 2011 2:08 pm
Today in our mail was another request for more money. A request from a local cable company for $1 a month if we do not receive our bill by an Internet connection.
Does this company not know there are many older people who do not have a computer, nor do they want one? Why should they have to pay because they're not in the flow?
Do the cable people not know we give them the right to decorate the city with cable all over the skies in Cedar Rapids? Take a good look at the mess that decorates our city skyline. We also gave them the right to serve Cedar Rapids.
I am sorry but I feel this is a bad business move by this company. I hope it will reconsider this move.
