A Floyd County man was sentenced to over 19 years in federal prison for his role in a Mason City area methamphetamine conspiracy.
Russell Wineman, 43, of Nora Springs, was sentenced Jan. 6 by Judge Linda Reade in U.S. District Court after pleading guilty Aug. 10 to conspiring to distribute methamphetamine , according to a U.S. Attorney's Office news release.
Authorities said between July 2008 and April 2009, Wineman supplied ice methamphetamine to several sources, sold methamphetamine out of his residence, and delivered it around northern Iowa.
Wineman was sentenced to 235 months in prison, along with five years of supervised release, in the case, which involved forfeiture of over $6,000 in cash. He is also ordered to pay a $100 special assessment, according to the release.
