Letter: Casino is bad idea, let’s move on

Regarding the March 8 front page article 'Mayor: Casino could aid in flood protection”:
Really? A casino would protect Cedar Rapids from a flood just like casinos protected Atlantic City from Hurricane Sandy. The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission voted against it twice, the last time by a 4-1 margin, yet Mayor Ron Corbett continues to look for angles to fulfill his dream of building a casino.
It's time Mayor Corbett recognized this was a bad idea from the start and move on.
