Until June 21, Cedar Rapids Public Library patrons are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing while in the library spaces. The staff will do the same, according to library Director Dara Schmidt in a statement.
“After June 21, when all staff have had the opportunity to make it through the vaccination process, we will be able to remove masking requirements,” she said. “… Thank you for understanding during these next few weeks of transition.”
The Ladd Library, 3750 Williams Blvd. SW, will hold a COVID-19 vaccination clinic 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, May 27, offering the Johnson and Johnson vaccine to anyone ages 18 and older.
No appointment is necessary.
