LESLIE SCOTT BELTZ

Leslie Scott Beltz died at age 71 at Mercy's Oldorf Hospice House following a sudden illness. He was born on June 20, 1949, to Harry Beltz and Marilyn Beltz in Cedar Rapids.
Scott was a "Warrior," attending Washington High School and subsequently graduating from Ellsworth Junior Collage and the University of Northern Iowa. He worked for an electronics firm for many years.
Scott is survived by his wife Sally. They were married on June 27, 1970, and have celebrated 50-plus years together. He also is survived by his children, Tracey Krousie (Brian), Mark, Christopher and special friend Jake Jacobson. He loved his grandchildren, Madison, Hunter, Sophie and Mylan and enjoyed spending time with them.
Scott enjoyed following sports. He most loved watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports.
Scott also loved to cook, always trying new recipes and inventing his own dishes.
He had an extreme passion for hunting and fishing, and his dog Sam. He and his family loved their yearly fishing trips to Minnesota.
To celebrate Scott's life, there will be a service at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 610 31st St. SE, Cedar Rapids, Saturday, June 12, at 4 p.m. Following the service please join family and friends to exchange stories and memories of Scott. Venue to be announced after the service and on Facebook.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
