Boehm is returning to RoughRiders

It's official, as of this morning. Winger David Boehm is returning to the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders after spending a year and a half at UMass. Forward Justin Kovacs has been sent to the Topeka RoadRunners of the North American Hockey League.
Boehm, 20, played briefly last season before getting injured and being granted a medical red-shirt. He played in 12 games this season for the Minutemen, picking up two goals and two assists.
The Naples, Fla., resident played the 2007-08 and 2006-07 seasons for Cedar Rapids, scoring 26 combined goals and 34 combined assists in 114 games.
Kovacs, 18, played in 24 games this season for the Riders, picking up three goals and four assists. He remains on the team's affiliate list.
Cedar Rapids has home games Friday and Saturday nights against
Sioux Falls and
Youngstown, respectively.
