Smith, Beverly A.
Beverly A. Smith, 82, of Marion, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 1, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids.
She was born in Milwaukee, Wis., and attended grade and high school in Cedar Rapids. She received her bachelor's degree from Ohio State University and her master's of Social Work degree from University of California, Berkley. Beverly worked in various clinical settings in 32 years of practice. After her retirement, she volunteered at Helping Hands. Beverly enjoyed gardening and rescuing animals.
She is survived by several cousins.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Josephine Bacon.
