Poor planning leads to long delays for Blairs Ferry work

Using Blairs Ferry Road from Edgewood Road NE to Waterhouse Lane? Expect long delays as the road is receiving resurfacing.
Excessive delays are the result of planning and execution of traffic flow though the construction project. Evidently, the planning was done on a single square of the cheapest toilet paper available and has considerably less value.
Instead of segmenting the project and detouring on available side streets, it was decided to close the entire section of a major artery, using pilot cars to slowly guide traffic through the project. This entails blocking traffic from one direction while snail pacing vehicles from the opposite direction.
Flag people, with radios, are at every intersection in the zone, blocking commuters at those intersections, allowing vehicles to enter the traffic lane only after the piloted procession passes completely and then only if that vehicle is heading in the same direction as the pilot car.
If excessively delayed by this project, I urge you to note the logo of the construction company, and then use competing asphalt businesses for your paving needs.
