CEDAR RAPIDS - Hundreds of Eastern Iowans flooded malls and other retailers to take back unwanted items and take advantage of sales on Sunday.
Electronics was the name of the game this holiday season. The day after the Christmas celebration, long lines at local retailers like Best Buy still exist.
“That's what the kids want these days,” said Cedar Rapids shopper Becky Person.
What the kids want, they got.
“I actually thought there would be less people,” said Cedar Rapids shopper Tabitha Wolfe.
Wolfe woke up early Sunday to get a head start on accessorizing her holiday gifts.
“I got a (XBox) 360 so I wanted to get some games,” said Wolfe.
Shopping was exactly what Becky Person came to do as well.
“We have a laptop that didn't quite work and we have a Blackberry phone we need to pick up,” said Person.
While there was a steady line at the return desk and the check out register, Person says it wasn't too bad.
“It's actually pretty smooth. I thought we'd be here for a couple of hours, but we got right in, helped, and we'll be here for probably a half hour or so,” Person said .
