ACT makes senior management changes

IOWA CITY -- ACT Inc. on Monday announced several senior management changes as part of a corporate-wide effort to afvance its new vision and strategic directions.
David Cumberbatch was recently hired as chief strategy and marketing officer. Cumberbatch, who will lead the development and execution of corporate marketing and market development strategies, was previously with Career Education Corp. as vice president of corporate strategy.
He worked for a number of years at Microsoft in product management and business development roles. Cumberbatch began his career at Procter & Gamble in brand management.
ACT's new executive holds a business management graduate degree from Oxford University, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar.
ACT also disclosed that Paul Weeks has been promoted to vice president of educational services and Tim Khuns has been promoted to vice president of project management.
Weeks was formerly assistant vice president for client outreach and partnerships, a position he occupied over the past eight years. Weeks appointment was effective May 30 and he has been performing as interim vice president since March.
Kuhns, an ACT employee since December 2006, was promoted to vice president of project management to manage a team of project managers serving all areas of the firm. Most recently, he was assistant vice president of operations, overseeing production services and printing/bindery solutions.
Kuhns will report to Mehran Rahbar, ACT chief operating officer.
