Too many taxes chokes economy

Taxes are beneficial when they are used to provide services for the citizens when the citizens cannot provide for themselves, areas like the national defense, law and order and roads. Even in these areas, the government is a very inefficient provider and an ineffective operator.
Elected officials avoid the laws of competition and apply the laws of politics. Laws are passed to buy votes or to quell dissent. Authority is given into the hands of bureaucrats who sometimes have an agenda that does not agree with the law. And it all depends on taxes. We are being taxed into socialism. And someone of great stature said that socialism is a form of, and the very best for, of slavery. What do you think of that?
Tea Party people are demanding no new taxes. Elected officials don't want your corn, pigs, garden produce or whatever it is that you work for. They want your money. They take it in taxes. And they use it to buy votes to get elected and re-elected. Taxes are taken out of one pocket and the price of your vote is returned in another pocket, and we are pleased with the reduced amount.
Money is the life blood of commerce and free enterprise. In the hands of those who work for it, money is very productive. When it is taken for taxes, it produces little or nothing. A body that is short of blood lacks energy. An economy that is heavily taxed lack the vitality to produce.
