Quaker sign to darken to mark Earth Hour

The landmark Quaker Oats sign on the Cedar Rapids manufacturing facility will be darkened from 8:30 to 9:30 tonight to mark Earth Hour.
Last year, Earth Hour - an event created by the World Wildlife Fund to promote awareness of global climate change - was celebrated by nearly 1 billion people worldwide.
Quaker is a subsidiary of PepsiCo, which will mark Saturday's Earth Hour across the globe in support of the event's mission to reduce overall carbon footprint.
