Cardella will use tax dollars for necessities

Why should you vote for Lori Cardella on Tuesday? Since 2007, the Johnson County budget has increased 55 percent; per capita, Johnson County has the highest taxes in the state of Iowa (property, federal, state and sales tax) and is in the top
10 percent of highest-taxed counties in the United States (Public Interest Institute data).
You should vote for Cardella because Janelle Rettig is not a fiscal conservative. In December, Rettig set in motion a $750,000, 2.8-mile bike trail from North Liberty to Sugar Bottom Road - a nice project, but not a necessity for county taxpayers. She co-chaired the $20 million conservation bond that increases taxes on Johnson County property owners while taking hundreds of acres off our tax rolls, resulting in an infinitely high cost than the $20 million price tag given to the people.
Cardella is a true fiscal conservative. She will be a tireless advocate for the people of Johnson County and will work to see that our tax dollars go for county needs, not wants in these stressful economic times.
Cardella is a good candidate and an honest and hard-working person.
