Local lawmakers support Hillary Clintona
Various Iowa Democratic Legislators

To the editor:
On Jan. 11, we'll return to Des Moines for the 2016 session of the Iowa General Assembly. We'll be facing a real challenge, as we advocate for Iowa's schools, children and families and our most vulnerable citizens. We'll fight as hard as we can, and as long as we have to, to increase funding for our schools, and make sure that essential services are there for Iowans who depend on them.
On Feb 1, we'll be back home in Johnson County, standing with our friends and neighbors in our home precincts, as the country turns its attention to the first in the nation Iowa caucuses. In each of our precincts, we'll be standing for Hillary Clinton. Each of us made our decision individually, and with much thought. But all of us have come to the same conclusion. Hillary Clinton is standing with Iowans who have had enough of Republicans trying to roll back progress. Her fights are our fights. She's been standing up for children, their families, their health and well-being her whole public life.
We've been listening to you, and what we're hearing is that Iowans need someone in their corner to stand with them - whether it's against privatizing Medicaid or cutting education. We'll be fighting for you and we believe Hillary Clinton is fighting on our side.
Sen. Bob Dvorsky
Sen. Joe Bolkcom
Rep. Mary Mascher
Rep. Vicki Lensing
Rep. Dave Jacoby
Rep. Sally Stutsman
