Donald and Rose Smith will celebrate

70 years of marriage on October 31st, 2014. Donald and the former Rose Kosina were married on October 31st, 1944 in

Cedar Rapids, IA.

They are blessed with five children: Suzan (Vincent) Blake-Bundy of Lee's Summit, MO; David Smith (deceased); Trudy

Hansen and Sterling (Mary) Smith, all of Cedar Rapids; and Stephanie (Tim) Eldredge of Naples, FL.

They have 10 grandchildren: Christine

(David) Read, Amy Brusven, Joy (Tim)

Novak, Matthew Smith, Adam Smith,

Timothy (Gina) Eldredge, Patrick (Donna) Eldredge, Emily Eldredge, Chad Hansen, and Jeremy Hansen.

They also have 11 great-grandchildren: Lauren Read, Lydia Read, Logan Read, Sam Brusven, Molly Brusven, Michael

Novak, Ava Novak, Hannah Novak, Norah Eldredge, Nina Eldredge, and Parker

Hansen.
