Update: tree hanging death likely suicide
MARION - The death of a Marion man whose body was found hanging from a tree Wednesday was apparently a suicide, police said.
Officers called to 208 Seventh Ave. shortly after 1:15 p.m. found the body of Christopher M. Chrystal, 33, hanging from a tree outside the house, Police Chief Harry Daugherty said.
The investigation into Chrystal's death is continuing, but it appeared to be suicide, Daugherty said.
A passer-by called police. Daugherty said it wasn't immediately clear how long the body had been hanging from the tree.
