New hires
Catherine VanDraska joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cedar Rapids and East Central Iowa as program development director.
Petersen Pet Hospital hired Dr. Hannah Green as a veterinarian and Bridget Ayers as a client care specialist.
Breanna Treimer is now a recruiter with Skywalk Group.
Mary Miller joined the Arc of East Central Iowa as system coordinator.
Promotions
Kelsey Luebbe was promoted to commercial banking officer in Iowa City office of Hills Bank and Trust Co.
Cedar Rapids Bank and Trust promoted Todd Kerska to executive vice president of operations and chairman of Best in Class initiatives at QCR Holdings Inc., in addition to his role as CRBT cashier of Guaranty Bank and Trust in 2017.

Stewart Baxter Funeral and Memorial Services of Cedar Rapids was awarded the Iowa Award of Funeral Service Excellence at the Iowa Funeral Directors Association Convention.
Digital help
Geonetric, the Cedar Rapids--based digital agency and software developer for the health care industry, is accepting applications from area not-for-profits in need of a new website or digital marketing services for its 10th annual Operation Overnight, set for Oct. 11 through 15. Applications will be accepted until June 24.
Events
The second-quarter Gazette Business Breakfast Series panel, “The Power Grid of the Future,” will be live online at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Panelists will be Mayuri Farlinger of Alliant Energy; Michaela Freiburger, Dubuque County Energy District; Kerri Johannsen, Iowa Environmental Council; Dusky Terry, ITC Midwest; and Chad Wiltz, Van Meter. Viewers can submit questions to panelists during the 60-minute session. The event will be free, but registration is required at thegazette.com/special-events/business-breakfast.
