DAVENPORT, Iowa -- Mount Mercy's hopes of another trip the national tournament were dashed in the waning seconds on Monday night as 13th-ranked St. Ambrose surrendered a 13-point halftime lead but escaped with a 69-67 victory over the Mustangs in the championship game of the Midwest Collegiate Conference Tournament at Lee Lohman Arena.
