World photos show our commonalities

Several readers recently have published objections to the international content of “Snapshots” on the back page of The Gazette. We disagree with those opinions.
The world includes many cultures and beliefs, the beauty of nature and of humanity, celebrations and the joys of life.
There also is poverty and tragedy and sorrow and struggle. It is affirming to see the normalcy of the lives of others and to understand that essentially they are not so different from us.
Thank you for allowing us a frequent glimpse into our remarkable world.
