Cougars make it 4 for 4

CEDAR FALLS -- The Cedar Rapids Kennedy girls' cross country team remained undefeated this season, placing four runners in the top seven to run away with the Rich Engel Classic on Thursday.Allison Culver, Katie Wampole, Alyssa Averhoff and Lauren Meyer finished fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh, all within 8 seconds of each other.The Cougars scored 40 points in gathering their fourth straight title this season. Cedar Falls was second with 71, followed by Decorah (98).Kennedy is ranked No. 3 in Class 4A.Anna Holdiman of Waverly-Shell Rock won the individual title convincingly, running in 14:14 and winning by 48 seconds.Dubuque Senior edged Cedar Falls, 60-68, for the boys' title. Decorah was third with 88.Senior's Dylan Eigenberger was the boys' winner, in 15:52. Etienne Nzoyisaba of Cedar Rapids Washington was third.
