It's beautiful here. I hope it's beautiful where you are.
Congrats Cardinals fans. I know a lot of you and hope you enjoy the championship. The Cubs will never win one. I'm OK with that. It's called acceptance.
-- Linebacker Tyler Nielsen (broken hand) will play today. He almost played last week, just six days off hand surgery, but couldn't make the call. He plays and the Hawkeyes need him to play.
-- Linebacker James Morris could play. I wish I could put a percentage on it, but it sounds like a yes. He has fought through a high-ankle sprain the last few weeks. He left last week's win over Indiana in the second half after aggravating the injury. We'll see.
-- Linebacker Anthony Hitchens should play. He's missed the last three games with a sprained knee.
-- Wide receiver Keenan Davis suffered a mild ankle sprain in the fourth quarter last week. Here's what he said Tuesday: "It feels good. Hopefully practices go well, I'm going to take it easy on some cuts, but I should be OK by this weekend. It's getting better every day.” We'll see.
-- Nielsen in the middle and Morris on the outside.
-- Probably no on Keenan.
-- QBs are out.
-- I expect Jordan Canzeri to be back on kick off in place of Keenan.
-- Mika'il McCall is out there.
-- Keenan Davis in uniform.
-- Nielsen, Nardo, Hitchens, Morris should go, per radio. Keenan medically cleared. McCall is wait-and-see.
-- Troy Stoudamire is iffy for UM with a wrist. WR Marcus Jones suffered an injury in practice and also is iffy.
-- Kevonte Martin-Manley is going through 7-on-7 in warmups as the starter. Looks like Keenan is sitting.
-- McCall is running back for the 2s. Just ran a play and looks fine to me.
-- Bigach still with the 1s over Nardo, who is dressed. Lebron Daniel with the 2s.
-- Team: Morris on outside, Nielsen in middle. Shumpert and Grant ran with the ones, too.
-- KMM getting the start, it looks like. He ran with the 1s in team and 7 on 7.
This Iowa cheerleader held this facial expression during the horn lead in to 'In Heaven There is No Beer' last Saturday. I thought it was funny.
