Wilson’s Orchard to host Strawberry Social

IOWA CITY — Wilson’s Orchard and Farm, 4823 Dingleberry Rd. NE in Iowa City, is hosting its first ever Strawberry Social on Saturday.
The all-day event will celebrate the orchard’s strawberry patch opening on June 2.
“We will be celebrating all things strawberry, including the release of our seasonal strawberry cider,” the orchard posted on Facebook.
Specials from their smokehouse, bakery and market will be available, including their popular strawberry lemonade slushies.
Programming includes:
- Free cider tasting from head cider maker Greg Ruth.
- Tractor rides throughout the property to demonstrate changes made to increase sustainability.
- Live music from Kalimbaman and The Fabulous Yahoo Drummers, an interactive kid-friendly band, from 12 to 2 p.m.
- A meet and greet with Nibbles the lamb, the newest addition to the Wilson family, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
- Live music from Dandelion Stompers from 5 to 7 p.m.
