Esther M. Buelow, 91, of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Services at
11 a.m. Monday, June 7, at St. John Lutheran Church in Center Point. The Rev. Thomas C. Van Hemert will officiate. Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church in Center Point. Interment at 1:15 p.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include three sons Dale and LeRoy both of Cedar Rapids and Wayne (Melonie) of Center Point; two daughters, JoAnn Buck of Cedar Rapids and Mary Behrens of Center Point; 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert; sister, Mary Ellen Besta; daughters-in-law, Linda Buelow and Pauline Buelow; and son-in-law, John Behrens.
Esther was born on Aug. 8, 1929, in Vinton, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Ethel (King) Hensing. She married Albert L. Buelow on Aug. 18, 1946, in Vinton, Iowa. She was a devoted wife and mother. Esther enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She loved taking care of her grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church in Center Point.
