Editor's note: Robert Rathje signed his national letter of intent to play football at the University of Northern Iowa on Wednesday. Here is an excerpt from the bio he provided us and a picture of the signing.

VAN HORNE - Most of my success is due to my family.
My parents, Jeff and Tammy Rathje, have raised me on the foundation of good ethics. They taught me that hard work brings great rewards and always supported me through everything I have been involved with.
My brothers - Matt, Josh and Adam - are the reason why I have so much passion for sports. They always push me to my limits and constantly create a competitive environment.
Two of my coaches, Todd Donald and Don Logan, also are a big part of the reason why I have excelled in football. They taught me everything I know about being a lineman and have continually encouraged me to become better each day. They push me in the off-season to become bigger, faster and stronger. I will always remember what these two coaches have done for me.
At the University of Northern Iowa, I plan to explore the field of exercise science. I am the type of guy who likes to be hands on, instead of sitting at a desk. I also plan to attend graduate school to become a physical therapist.
I am excited to attend and play for the University of Northern Iowa. There is a great opportunity ahead of me and I plan to make the most of it. At UNI, I will have the tools to become a great football player, student and person.
