Overnight Linn County crash kills one

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - An early Sunday morning crash killed one person in Linn County.
The Sheriff's Office says the crash happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday near a bridge on Secrist Road just west of Creekside Road.
The Sheriff's Office says an SUV lost control on the frost covered bridge deck, struck a guard rail, and rolled into a ditch. The driver was the only person in the SUV. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending family notification. The crash remains under investigation.
