Letter: Mayor should listen to the voters

I agree with the April 29 letter 'Speak out against mayor's tax plan.”
The voters have spoken and voted no on this issue concerning the library. Now we have a mayor who has found a way around that to get what he wants. What has happened to listening to the people of this community? Isn't that why we vote on issues concerning us all?
Of course, we are all not going to agree on various issues, but a no vote should be a no vote, not a reason to look for a 'way around it.”
