Frye, Richard M.
Richard M. Frye, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, April 29, 2011, at his home in Albert Lea, Minn. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, May 6, at Bonnerup Funeral Service, 2210 East Main, Albert Lea.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Glasford of Ely; sister, Patty Wignall, brother, Brad Nutt, nieces, Leaha Campbell and Gracie Wood, and nephews, Jacob and Joshua Nutt, all of Cedar Rapids; and aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Richard was born Sept. 6, 1958, in Albia, Iowa, the son of Robert and Mary (Glasford) Frye. He attended grade school in Cedar Rapids and graduated from high school in Albert Lea. He had been employed at Streater Inc., for more than 30 years before retiring in 2009 due to a disability.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and football. His constant companion, his dog “Buddy” was a very important part of his life.
